Listen, i grew up eating at nicks . they almost never miss with the food i ve been eating here since i was about 8yrs when they were across the street by the liquor store i m now 40 but, what has changed are the cashiers mannnnnn they have one cashier she is the rudest mofo in there i m pretty sure other people are familiar with her too he may stick her somewhere else cause she is not the 1st face you want to see when going in there she s not helpful at all so for anyone new visiting nicks on 63rd i ll just say i hope you don t get her as your cashier cause she will definitely give you that i m going to yeah yeah this girl but other than that nicks great job over the years!

Stopped in for happy hour after work (5-6pm at the bar) and really liked the food! the grilled shrimp were amazing. the lobster was great and the beef empanada was flavorful and delicious. the service was great! water didn t get below half a glass. sexy atmosphere and cool open kitchen. would definitely recommend!

Went for the lunch special for the second time this week $6.62 for a 4 wings, fries and a pop. cashier was nice and my chicken crispy fries on point. was given a free slice of cake and was thanked for my business sooooooo in other words come get your quick bite on you wont regret it.

Alex and the staff were wonderful and attentive, kept my water glass full the whole time (which i loved). it is classic italian steakhouse, with a great wine selection. alex suggestions of super tuscan wine complimented our dinner. for appetizers we had the crab cakes and the tortellini in brodo. the crab cakes had the right balance of crabmeat and fillers. the brodo was so good i nearly picked up the bowl to finish it off. entrees were wet aged porterhouse and filet mignon. wet aging gives the steak a more intense flavor compared to dry aging, which i find delicious but may not be for everyone. and course we ordered a side of fresh pasta with bolognese sauce. the panna cotta was sweet and melt in your mouth goodness.

The service is outstanding. we sat at the bar and it was very cozy, romantic, and a beautiful ambiance. the food didn t miss either. the steak was wall the wall medium rare – a beauty. and the crust on it was amazing. i loved everything we ordered. the server gave us good recommendations. they bring you bread with olive oil, parmesan cheese and marinated olives which i thought was a nice touch. great for a special night out

Dan is the best waiter. i ve only been here once so i may be biased, but wow did he do his job and do it beautifully! knows just about everything on the menu, and had perfect recommendations for us when we needed some extra help deciding what to get! super great experience.

Celebrated my birthday here. i definitely suggest this as a fantastic way to get dressed to the nines and enjoy a date night. impressive from the front door and throughout. our meal was very good, steaks perfectly juicy and the accompaniments were fantastic. i had the ribeye with truffle butter and mash on the side. i got a slice of cake for dessert. the waiter brought it out with a sparkler, nice touch. i would definitely return!

Had reservations for 2 and was seated right away, the service from the beginning was amazing. our main server juan was super friendly and knowledgeable. he recommended the toasted raviolis and the steak. we ordered both and the eggplant parmigiana. everything was amazing! highly recommend all these dishes as well as the brussel sprouts. we also ordered alcoholic beverages which were well served and delicious.

I m not a big restaurant review poster, but just wanted to say this was one of the more enjoyable chicago dining experiences in recent memory, be it chinatown, the west loop or somewhere in-between. celebrated my partner s b-day here. wide selection of different cuts of steak. good seafood options, too. everything perfectly cooked right at the table. high-tech venting so our clothes did not smell like they often do after korean bbq! very comfortable booth seats with intimate lighting. nice array of different cocktails. decent wine options. didn t try it, but looked like a deep bench of whiskey, too. props to our server, leo, who made a few good recs for our meal and provided excellent guidance for how to tackle what turned out to be a very memorable dinner. looking forward to returning just as soon as i work off a the calories i took down ? parking: easy parking across the street. if you don t find a spot in one lot, try the other five (six?) kid-friendliness: very kid-friendly. or leave the little ones at home for a romantic evening in a great setting. win either way.

All the hype for this restaurant did not disappoint. seafood tower is a must. it s the best thing on the menu aside from the steaks. we normally do not order seafood tower because it s served cold. not from here. it s got steamed and served warm with smokiness that just adds to the flavor. this place is also good for any type of celebration since they do offer birthday sign on a menu that you can bring home. it s on the pricier side but great for special night outs.

This is a place where you can enjoy great quality and delicious steak near riverwalk. the oysters i ordered as an appetizer were so-so. however, the main menu item, steak, was cooked really well and i was able to enjoy the flawless taste of the steak. the side dishes were also delicious and went well with the steak. there is a dress code, so check it before you go.

Our first time here, and we are hooked. the meals are so big you can split between two people. we tried the burger, strip steak, ribs and steak cesar salad, and on the side it was vegetables and a loaded baked potato (cheese and bacon with a side of sour cream). it was my husband and our two kiddos (11 and 4), and never once did we feel out of place. its a casual joint, with a neighborhood feel, the server and owner knew everyone that walked in the door, and they were super welcoming. the prices, are far below and steak place we have been to in a long time, but does not skimp on quality. a steak, 1/2 slab ribs, veggies, and a loaded baked potato for $40, you cant find that anywhere nowadays. we were so impressed at the cleanliness, the kindness, the service and the quality, that we will be back sooner than later. parking: parking out front is street parking but no problem, i would say you would find a spot most nights of the week and for an hour it may cost you 1-2$. kid-friendliness: both of our kids ( were very well behaved), were treated with kindness, and were able to order for themselves. the server was amazing.

I got some food from them last night and they were about to close and they serviced me with not one not two but an extra delicacy and i didnt even know that he blessed me like that. he gave me an extra dish and it was excellent. i was only mad because i should have ordered some more stuff lol everything was on point. the salad perfect the buffalo egg roll perfect and the alfredo was absolutely on point! i advertise them on my health page about portions and the productivity and the care that they took in making the food if you need their services for catering use them!! and tell them surf the soursop man sent you.

Came here for my birthday and it was amazing! first time i came here was the night of my wedding during the pandemic when everything was still kind of shut down and both times we had a private area, we werent sat on top of other guests and the food was amazing, service was amazing. i have been to other really great restaurants in the area where i ended up spending more and was just satisfied with the experience. with steak 48 i was beyond satisfied. not just for the food but the overall experience. its a very welcoming and warm environment. they made sure my birthday dinner was awesome, manager came to wish me a happy birthday along with other servers and i received a bday card from them. they truly made me feel welcome and special on my day. also the fried lobster is soooo good! a bit pricey but its worth it i promise!

Y all. i m a native texan and lived there for 40 years. green street has the best brisket i ve ever had outside of texas, and better than plenty of places in texas. turkey and sausage were fantastic. pulled pork was very good. cornbread too. full bar and great draft beers. this is a taste of home for me, and i will absolutely be back.

A nice steakhouse with a fancy atmosphere and wonderful service. i had the chicken milanese and lobster bisque. the bisque was delicious and very flavorful. the chicken melted in my mouth and was nicely lightly breaded. the quality was top notch and i will be back to try a steak!

Beautiful restaurant from the interior as well as outside. the hostess seated us promptly, amazing seating. they have valet it was $18 for the first 3 hours. we were there to celebrate a birthday. little birthday treat for the birthday girl after dinner. the food was great. tried a couple of appetizers and did steaks for the main course. the sides are made to be shared. recommend the steak tartar. added photos for reference. parking: the valet guy was there right in front of the main entrance and the parking was easy!

This was our first time at sabor a cafe, we went on a saturday evening when carpio and la clave maestra were performing, and they were amazing, as well as their music selection was great, and their peras a colombian, and vegetarian, we found d many options on the menu, the vegetarian emapnadas were great!. service was top notch, from calling to make the reservation for our group of 10, to the moment we left. the atmosphere was soo fun and friendly. our friends kept saying we have to come back soon!, and we will! highly recommended.

A great cause & a great meal! beautiful buffet for sunday. lunch looks fabulous too. buffet even had brisket & shrimp. such kind people. i ll definitely go back.

Had to stop our meals half way so we can show you how delicious this food was. just found this place recently. the staff were nice and attentive. the food was reasonably priced and gave you good portions for it. we had the chicken kebobs plate and the mediterranean panini and i would recommend both!

My boyfriend and i are visiting from nyc and our friends recommended this spot! amazing food, wide variety of dishes, 10/10 service, and friendly environment! i ordered the fatoush salad with sumac dressing which was delicious. definitely will be coming back to visit!

Had the potato & ricotta pierogi, lobster bisque, roasted atlantic salmon, and 16oz new york strip steak. all were very delicious and well worth the price. the dark chocolate cake was okay. service was good and personally their music selection made the experience more enjoyable. would revisit.
