A nice hopping place to eat! i stopped by for dinner one night and then lunch the next day. the grill is a small, well oiled machine, cranking out consistently good food. i tried the char cheeseburger and the chicken breast sandwiches. the staff was laidback and friendly during the busiest times of the day. quiet enough to chat with some locals. peaceful, family atmosphere. good value and good food. for burgers and chips or steaks and baked, you wont get burned eating here.

Even with a crowded parking lot and mostly full tables, we were still able to get a table right away, and be heard as we conversed across the table. nice! atmosphere was great. our waitress was attentive but not bothersome. there were so many staff people around the restaurant, and everyone was moving at top speed. parking: it was 6 p.m. on a saturday night so not a surprise that the parking lot was packed. kid-friendliness: kids of all ages seen throughout the restaurant.

Great place, love the decor, the food and the staff. we came for state fastpitch softball tournaments, and love to find new places. hot outside, cold, frosty mugs inside. i had a spicy chicken salad, husband had patty melt. mmmmm, will come back next year.

Very good food with a lot of flavor. my husband got nachos, i got tostadas (chicken & pastor) both were amazing. will definitely come back when we have the chance.

I my be biased. i do love the game of pool, and they have tables rented by the hour. daily food specials are good, full bar menu, and wide selection of drinks.

First time to eat at this nicks. probably the largest gyro ive ever had. good value for the price, can make two meals out of it. pita was good and veggies fresh and lots of meat. feta and sour cream were ample.

Our 3 dishes were great, including a burger sourced from much better than average quality beef. also a very fresh tasting poke bowl and a unique appetizer. gretchen was our server and cared for us as if she owns the place, which is so rare anymore. wish we lived closer to sample the rest of the menu. we each had a hard time deciding, but suspect we could not have gone wrong with any choice, based on the quality and reasonable value of our selections. if youre a foodie seeking both quality and value while in hastings; eat here!

From out of town and first time eating a runza. great service and food. fast service, cheeseburger runza was really good and the salad was fresh. excellent onion rings!

When youre in need of doing a drive-thru in hastings i highly recommend the runza on elm street. and the reason is simple. its the service i get every single time from the young people at the window. they are clearly exceptional in every way. oh and btw, i love shakes, and their machines are never down!
