    One review mentioned:

We visited eddie merlots for our 5th wedding anniversary and had a great time. it was a thursday afternoon at 8 pm. the restaurant was dead. we didnt mind, better to be no customer ls than to many. our server zander was patient, personable, and was able to help us navigate the menu. we ordered a couple of drinks but thought they were too sweet. they had a good selection of beer and liqour. for food, we order half a dozen oysters, carpaccio, and bread services. the bread service was the weakest part. our server said it is normally much, but they ran out of sourdough, which is their standard bread service. for our main meal, we ordered steaks, my wife got a filet, and i got the ny strip. both were well seasoned and prepared. honestly, i would have liked a thicker cut… overall i would come back. great service, good food, and nice location. parking: i believe they validate parking

    One review mentioned:

My husband wanted to come here for his 40th birthday this past sunday & i m so happy he chose it! we ve been here once before several years ago & had a great time. this time was even better. the meats were seasoned to perfection. my personal fave was the spicy sirloin. normally i don t prefer spicy foods but i figured why not? it s a celebration. very happy i stepped outside of the box on that one because it was incredible. the lamb was wonderful, the filet, sirloin, picanha & ribeyes were absolutely delicious. we both enjoyed our meals immensely. the salad bar was fresh and jam packed with options. seriously, there s something for everyone there. even the pickiest of eaters will find something to enjoy. i started and ended my meal with a salad. (does that tell you how much i enjoyed the salad bar? ) we also loved the lobster bisque but we both mentioned the lack of actual pieces lobster in the soup that were missed but the flavor was certainly there. the brazilian cheese bread was very good too. i m not sure i remember it being that good in our previous visit but i d totally take a dozen or 2 home & i wouldn t be sharing. full disclosure: we do not eat pork so we didn t try any sausages or anything bacon wrapped. however, those things weren t missed because the meats were flowing and abundant. we tried everything else with no disappointments. our waitress, sydney was so attentive & cheerful. she was literally a breath of fresh air. she even came over to ask us if we had tried everything we wanted to. prior to that, we had missed the beef ribs (my husband is a huge fan of beef ribs and not many places do them justice) so we told her about it & she had someone come to our table personally to bring us beef ribs! that in itself was a 5 moment. the level of care & attentiveness was unmatched. we didn t even know that was possible so thank you sydney for being awesome!!! if you re wondering, he said the beef ribs literally melted in his mouth & that he would come back a million times just for those. overall, this was a 5 star experience. we thoroughly enjoyed his birthday dinner & will be back sooner than later.

    McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks, 301 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

The history of mccormick & schmick’s seafood restaurants began when bill mccormick purchased jake’s famous crawfish restaurant located in portland, oregon, and brought the more than 100-year-old landmark back to life. when asked the secret of how he revitalized a restaurant on the brink of closing, mccormick says, i like nothing better than being a good host. part of the managerial talent mccormick tapped was doug schmick, a management trainee. the two formed a partnership in 1974, creating traditional concepts, a precursor to today’s mccormick & schmick’s seafood restaurants. in 1979, they opened the original mccormick & schmick’s seafood restaurant in portland, oregon.

A high end, high priced, and high quality experience. the seafood options are wonderful. black cod with a hint of heat and spice or a hong kong style sea bass or some delectable scallops. the shellfish tower was light on content for $80 but made up for with good flavor. cocktails can be hit or miss and i found them to be fairly weak. service was top notch and our hostess was very knowledgeable and friendly.

The north shore tavern is pittsburgh’s home for steak on a stone! in a very short time the north shore tavern has become the spot on the north shore to cheer the pirates, have a drink, and dine on delicious food. the north shore tavern has pioneered stone cooking in pittsburgh and adds new additions to the stone menu almost every week. stop down and experience dining where each delicious bite is cooked your idea of perfection.

    One review mentioned:

Paying homage to the steel workers who would (allegedly) bring a steak to work for lunch, slap it onto a cooling steel bar to sear it, and then flip it and repeat before eating, north shore tavern lives up to this age old tradition and modernizes it. a lightly (and deliciously) seasoned chunk of meat is brought out on a steaming hot stone. the aroma is amazing from the start. grab your fork and knife, and then cut the meat into slices to finish up to your desired doneness. i opted for the lamb, and it was one of the best meals i ve had in a long time. perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked exactly how i liked it, since i was the one finishing. top it off with their chimichurri and it was literally worth writing home about ( i called my fiancee on the walk back to the hotel). without a doubt a gem of pittsburgh

Pittsburgh friends turned us on to paris 66 bistro while visiting, and the four of us went for dinner. and its a gem. the food was excellent. there were accommodations for my husbands gluten allergy. theres something for nearly everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free options or adaptations. (there will likely be off-menu specials, too.) we enjoyed a full dinner, appetizers, wine, and dessert. meal prices align with better restaurants with items at various price points. we received full attention from our servers without it feeling overbearing. the atmosphere is lovely. we felt like we were in france and even got to practice a little french with the owner, who is french (though french isnt needed). there is a parking garage near, beside/behind the restaurant, and street parking. as a closing note, were a gay couple who felt welcome. i highly recommend considering paris 66 bistro. vegetarian options: some vegetarian options or adaptations. dietary restrictions: gluten free options and adaptations available.

Spent thanksgiving dinner here with my father in law and husband. wasnt sure what to expect and went in hoping there would at least be mashed potatoes. the thanksgiving offering was a 4 course meal for $48 per person. all the food was delicious. the meal included soup, salad, turkey dinner with all the fixings, and a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie (the pecan was 1000 times better!) i also had the best espresso martini ive ever tasted. our server did a great job even though the place was packed to the gills! she was very personable and enjoyed our christmas attire. we also had jumbo cocktail shrimp and calamari. jumbo was an understatement. i highly recommend ditkas but be prepared to spend big bucks!

Ordered takeout from the app. this meal was delicious. after traveling all day my daughter wanted their sliders and to eat them in the hotel. i enjoyed a an amazing bacon burger with green beans as the side. if you like beans i encourage you to try this as a sun for fries. my wife ordered the steak bites with a very nice side salad. the order was later than the app told us but the place was packed for a friday night. parking: they did not have parking for takeout orders.

We were highly recommended to this restaurant and really enjoyed it. the bbq chicken was tender and really good. the home fries were very delicious. the roast beef cheese steak was excellent. our only complaint was the red potatoes were very bland and lacked any kind of flavor. the atmosphere was very neat and we especially liked the table clothes that were made out of jeans. we highly recommend this restaurant.

I really recommend texas roadhouse to any meat lover (especially if theyre also bread lovers, their breads are the best rolls ive ever had). we ordered their limited availability prime rib, had some mixup and some wrong orders but they fixed it immediately and honestly the staff were superb and very nice. we ended up getting the bone in ribeye instead and it was a delicious, plenty of food and all for a relatively cheap-steak dinner experience. 10/10
