Best fried pickles i ever had. had the bbq baby back ribs and they were excellent. smoky and crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. cole slaw was great as well, very light. service was phenomenal and dog friendly on the patio. great beer, great food, and great service. wed go back!

I want to start by saying that i was not expecting too much. the night before my husband and i dined at fridays at harrahs and our service was lackluster at best leaving me a little discouraged about fine dining in south lake. however, we came to kalanis and had misty as our waitress. she is an absolute gem and made the experience so wonderful. she explained the local favorites, and was thorough with the menu. it was a full dining room but she and the team expertly balanced keeping our drinks filled and checked up on us frequently. i highly recommend kalanis and well definitely be back.

If you re in tahoe, you have to go to riva grill s happy hour and sit next to the window. the views of the lake are gorgeous! we ordered the ahi poke tuna (already half eaten in the second photo), pomegranate glazed pork ribs, and margarita pesto pizza and it was all fantastic, so flavorful, and yummy! service was fast and the server was so nice. my pomegranate martini was also delicious, highly recommend. 5/5 very impressed – especially during happy hour! love that they had discounts on appetizers, pizzas and drinks (everything we ordered was on happy hour)!

This is a real house turn into a restaurant. 3 ladys are the hosts, they are the waitress and they all run the front of the house. great hospitality. the food was incredibly delicious!! the savory cheese cake made with fish and lobster was really nice and yummy. our scallops were great the sauce and pasta were delicious the fillet mignon also. big selection of wines. the atmosphere is very nice, i love the small restaurant quite and peaceful. we were here to celebrate my husband birthday and we all have an amazing time. the ladys will make sure there is not crumbs on your table.. very fancy, i love the attention. if you are in tahoe you must stop by this restaurant!

Cool place, life music… fun and energetic… this was our 1st time here. the only thing was the service… host did a great job sitting us..the server could have been a bit chill with taking our order, helping with some choices… other than that, we liked the experience and recommended this restaurant. the cocktails were great, burger was very good, huge by the way… the sweet potato fries were awesome..

This place is amazing! definitely worth the visit. if you want barbecue grill, or searching for an all you can eat buffet, this is the perfect place for you! i have gone here many times, and everything seem to go well. the prices for the all you can eat bowls are $30 for adults, and about $15 for kids. there is a live interactive grill, which you can put anything there, and the chefs will grill it right in front of your eyes, it s soooo exciting! and even if you pick the worst combination, with the sauce it will taste super good one time my chicken got medium grilled, and i hope this place improves their grilling system by telling you how you want your meat to be cooked. cool place, worth the visit and money!

They have a long list of beers. i tried the smoked beer and its an acquired taste. pricey but worth a try. service at the bar is not great. only one person is handing and its way too busy to pour beer and guests. if you want attentive services get a table. the fries are really good. its a must. other dishes are not bad either. parking could be tricky. the lot is small and street parking is limited.

The view to the lake is great. the hibiscus margaritas are a must try! the burgers are good (i had a veggie burger ). the staff was very kind and easy to talk to. the music was a mix of top 20, i enjoyed it while sitting on the patio. . happy accident finding this place walking down to the lake.

I absolutely love this place. i try to go at least once every time im in south lake tahoe. the food is delicious and the staff are extremely kind and professional. my favorite dish hands down has to be the spaghetti and meatballs, and the garlic bread scusa is great with the fresh tomatoes on it. definitely recommend coming here if you like italian food and trying them.

Lakeside lunching at boathouse on the pier boathouse on the pier serves up a side of breathtaking views with every dish. lunch here isnt just about good food; its about savoring every bite with a panoramic view of lake tahoe. the menu might as well be a love letter to your taste buds every dish we tried hit the spot. the drinks? lets just say they know their way around a cocktail shaker. sure, they seemed a tad short-staffed, but the friendly vibes more than made up for the wait. in summary, if youre in south lake tahoe and craving a meal with a view, boathouse on the pier is your go-to. good food, good drinks, and a view that might just make you forget to check your phone.

This restaurant lives up to its name, primo!! the outdoor patio was charming with the lights and herb planters which had fresh mint for your water! lucas provided outstanding service and was very knowledgeable about wine. the food was amazing, try the rigatoni with spiced sausage! this was a wonderful dining experience!

If you re going to spend money on a nice dinner, skip the cheap costco fried dishes in the village and go to toulouse. our server, alex, was attentive and friendly, and made sure our dining experience was top notch. the food was phenomenal, drinks were unique and well poured, and the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted for a night out. we will definitely be back, this is our new favorite spot in tahoe!!

Delicious food! hooked on the wedge salad. happy hour every day from 2 to 6pm. half price drink & food menu. kudos to our awesome bartender victoria. loved the mai tai drink she made. we enjoyed the place so much we went every day!

We love to come here when we visit south lake tahoe. the gazpacho is the best. i wish i could get it at home. this time it was raining and we also enjoyed the noodle soup. i got veggie and husband got the pork. the booth was flavorful and i loved the veggies. we also had a dinner salad and the dressing was delicious. tastes homemade. we ve had many other things on the menu and always love it. the desserts are great! there s an inside dining room down stairs and a roof deck outdoor area. the outdoor has great views. there can be a bit of a wait, but it s worth it. vegetarian options: my veggie soup was delicious!

A fun, steam punk themed tapas bar with amazing food. my wife and i went here recently on a weekend trip to lake tahoe, and it was an amazing experience. it was only our second tapas bar, so we were a little unsure what to expect, but we would not hesitate to go back. for those that are not familiar, at a tapas bar you order small plates of food that can be shared typically between 2 or 3 people, and you keep going until youre full. you get to experience a slower paced meal with as much variety as you like. we ended up ordering 6 or 7 plates and drinks a long the way. everything was so delicious but the standouts were the seafood risotto, ahi ceviche, and crispy duck tacos. they do have a seasonal rotating menu, so your options may vary when you go. we enjoyed live music while we ate and waited for the on site magic show. the magic show is extra and while it is entertaining, its nothing amazing either, so you can take it or leave it.

Seriously the best french onion soup ever…. the chicken nuggets with all the sauces was great & the ruben was outstanding! the service is great! its not fancy but the food is incredible! best in south lake tahoe

Our biggest regret was going in after lunch for a drink because we had no idea how substantial their food menu was or how delicious everything was going to smell and look. almost ordered a pot pie to go but settled for enjoying a hot toddy. we chatted with janine and noticed how well she knows her regulars mark of a great bar and a great bartender! we will be back!
