I cant say enough positive things about this place. i grew up in portland, oregon, and had never visited this restaurant until now. dont judge a book by its cover because its unassuming from its exterior, and then you enter into a beautiful old-school steak house dining room. we had the most friendly, attentive waitress, and she was a saint to endure our large group. the food was amazing. i had a shrimp salad, prime rib dinner, a cocktail, and dessert for just under $65. you can beat that price for the quality and excellent dining experience. parking: parking is available on a site.

Yum! our first experience was dampened by a bad experience with the valet, but the manager was quick to rectify the nightmare. we decided to return and had a wonderful dinner without a hitch! the steak el goucho paired with lobster mash and a shared bowl of the crab bisque… itll send you info food euphoria! this is a must try! what a great little place!!

My husband and i went for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! cody was our server and was helpful and attentive. we had 2 appetizers and each had a salad, a steak, with different crusts, brussel sprouts and some potatoes. i also had a lobster with mine and it was so fresh! we also had a couple beverages that were tasty and the wine selection is robust. everything was delicious and we will absolutely be back. highly recommend! parking: once you locate the parking garage its not too difficult but its downtown and can be stressful in my experience.

Quite enjoyable food. a great wine list. hard working wait staff. a few suggestions. please inform your waiters on the cuts of beef you are serving. also if you offer a cheese plate (ignoring that it should be after the mains and not an appetizer) your staff should know or have an easy paper to describe the cheeses being offered. more than just a blue and a cheddar. again the staff worked hard and we love them but if you are trying to be a certain level steakhouse and restaurant you should do this. we loved our meal and experience.

I walked in and felt comfortable immediately. the atmosphere and the service is mainly what id come back for. the employees are kind, helpful and proactive. the food was tasteful, great portions and plenty of well blended seasonings for even the pickiest of pallets. there is so much to enjoy here, so many beautiful details that can catch your eye if you sit and soak in the design. the womens bathroom is haunted lol. anyway, certainly a place worth trying and frequently visiting. prices are fair as well. i am very much looking forward to returning.

We had bond as our chef and he was amazing, good with our kid and made our 13 year anniversary special and memorable. we were recommended by our colleague and she is totally going to get a fist bump for the awesome recommendation. food was perfect and i am super picky, perfection achieved. wife s love potion was absolutely amazing. i got scallops which are seriously some of the best i had anywhere in the world.

Very delicious food at a good price. so many choices at the market table/feijoada bar and even more from the meats served table side. the desserts were also good. very attentive servers and a pleasant atmosphere. overall, a great place to go to celebrate a special occasion! side note: the parking garage kinda sucks, especially if you have a bigger car, due to the tiny parking spaces.

Very classy, upscale restaurant 30 floors up! the food was phenomenal and the service after we got seated at our table was excellent. four stars for service as we waited in the bar for our table to be ready and our server was not attentive nor did she know what to offer when asked about a fruity vodka cocktail as their drink menu was very selective.

Every time my husband and i are on this side of town, we have to stop at steakadelphia! my husband and i love this place. we dont come here too often because its far from home but its always delicious! we get the philly cheese steak with white american, cheese steak, and onions! they also have great milk shakes..

Ill start off with just 2 words…hidden gem! fist off the restaurant itself is a hidden gem. the cuisine here is fabulous and the ambiance and decor were nice. secondly, the entrance is hidden…. hidden inside the lobby of the best western its attached to, so it took us a minute to find the entrance. the staff is very accommodating, tentative and took care of our every need. we started off with the beat salad which was quite tasty, the beats and goat cheese along with the arugula played very well together. i would have preferred a little more acid in the dressing but i am an acid freak and a lot of people dont like that as much as i do. my wife ordered the filet mignon with roasted fingerlings and asparagus. the filet was cooked perfectly. nice crust on the outside and tender juicy medium on the inside. the asparagus was cooked great and had a nice snap to them. i had the shrimp and zucchini risotto which was very well prepared. the rice was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and the shrimp were plump and juicy with a slight char on the outside. overall a well balanced dish. we finished off the night with a new desert that wasnt on the menu. it was a lemon custard with a layer of crumbled gram cracker and topped with an unsweetened whipped cream which perfectly balanced out the dish. this is a restaurant that i see myself frequenting often!

Excellent food and service. the location was also very nice and clean. you should always try the blooming onion. there is no way around it. and the steak is solid and was on point as requested. dont waste your time with the other overpriced places. they also had a menu for kids around which is always a good sign.

After realizing most of my fancy dinner experiences are for work, i took my family here tonight for dinner. i cannot say enough good things about the experience. staff was amazing – waitress jessica was amazing with recommendations and overall service. brian came out from the kitchen with our steaks to make sure they were perfect (they were), and everyone we encountered there was friendly, professional and enjoyable to be around. compliments to the bartender as well as the house cocktails were well-crafted and several steps above what you often get even at nice restaurants. use the valet parking, fast before you arrive to make room for amazing food, and fall in love with an 80 year-old portland landmark! cant wait to come back. parking: just use the valet, that is the move.

14-day aged revised steak delicious, mashed potatoes with creamy and smooth they are really good, asparagus was yummy and there bread pouding was delishs. harrison pinot noir from willamette valley was the best ive ever had there were no bitter tanen taste at the end . and huma huma oysters were sweet and fresh… parking: there is a handicap parking spot at the end of the block, theres a pay to park meeter in front of mortens.

Unassuming and if you blink you will most certainly miss it but, what an outstanding restaurant with excellent service and even better food and drinks. i have to give this place 5s across the board because honestly not one negative box was checked thru our entire experience. i cant remember the last time i loved every single dish and drink we ordered. i wish i had a bigger appetite because i would have loved to try everything this place has to offer, but i can certainly go back for another round. well done

Had a fantastic time with my family and friends! we waited 45 minutes to seat 6 people (you can t make reservations.) had a lot of fun in the lobby looking at photos, where i thought i recognized the owner/ceo. our waiter was super fantastic and nice!!!! and she answered my question about if the owner was actually at the restaurant because i saw a picture, but i was wrong! and it was the old owner (his dad). anyways, i met the owner and took a photo because my family made me, since i was so excited, but he was very kind. very busy for st. patrick s day dinner!!! but good time. their ranch is the best! along with their house made sauce!!!! relish plate and garlic butter with bread comes with dinner!! so yummy!!! had the espresso ice cream afterwards! so good. 12 oz, ribeye so scrumptious. i recommend!

Outstanding sunday brunch! shaved prime rib benedict was perfect, mushroom & ham omelet was nice and moist, traditional breakfast was enjoyed with a shrimp side salad! mimosa drinks were worth a second and the complimentary birthday mud pie (w/ candle) was so inviting i couldnt wait & took a couple bites before the photo! although rainy weather, the view over the willamette river is still good and even caught the rising moon through the clouds. the service was excellent as always and all the staff we interacted with were polite, helpful & very friendly! a truly great place for any celebration.

Cozy date night here with exceptional food. both of our steaks were tender and flavorful, mac and cheese and beet salad were delicious. the warm corn bread they serve with beef tallow and honey was something i didn t expect to fall in love with like i did, must try that! overall wonderful experience and will be returning.

I have been going there since 1984 and i knew the original owner almost intimately. they have their own beef supply situation and provide excellent food. there has been some changes since the original owner expired, but it still remains premier entertainment value and food value! the only disappointment is that they no longer have the beef ribs available, because that was the bomb!

A wonderful spot in downtown portland! it feels a little hidden since there s not many other restaurants on the block. stepping inside though, you immediately can tell you ll be in for a treat. it s all shareable plates and everything we tried was fantastic. favorites included the foraged mushroom and sweet potato plantain empanadas. lots of great vegetarian options and a few vegan as well. i ll definitely be back!

Absolutely loved dining here before our concert at crystal ballroom. with the venue right around the corner it was a great spot to sit at the bar get cocktails and have a really yummy dinner. i highly recommend the fried brussel sprouts (they are gf) and the steak salad was also yummy ! can t wait to come back

Amazing experience! the breakfast bar is phenomenal. omelet station, fresh fruit, breakfast meat, french toast, drinks galore. my family had a great breakfast made even better by the staff. they bussed our tables, took plates from our hands when we went to dump them, and made light conversation, all while keeping breakfast running smoothly.

Rarely do i leave a perfect review but this place totally deserves it. during my stay at the benson i ate here numerous times breakfast lunch and dinner. this place rocks! super surprised and super satisfied.

Booked this place because of the live music, jazz band. so wasn t expecting too much wrt food. but when we arrived i was very impressed by the period decor, we sat in a booth that was red leather? tuck & roll upholstery, and a perfect view of the band. and the food was fantastic. we had fillet of sole & lamp shank and both were very, very good. and the band & female vocalist were consummate professionals, played a great set.

Amazing service, food, drinks, and ambience. only three severs managing outside, inside, and bar seating. my server was amazing as she was serving people at the bar as well as myself. i decided to order the green salad, shrimp with thai sauce in phyllo dough pastry and creme brulee. i couldn t get the scallops as the menu is only correct on their own website, due to the changes daily based on fresh fish availability. loved this place! dietary restrictions: the shrimp dish was delicious.

Stopped by grants for the first time after driving past it a bunch of times on the way to costco. we both got the american philly which were amazing! great flavor with lots of gooey melted american cheese! we also got cheese fries and rosemary garlic fries. we ordered a small of each and the employee who helped us laughed and said we would be swimming in fries. she was not wrong lol. the small fry is huge and easily shareable with two people! definitely will be back again to try the other cheesesteak options!

Very chill place. staff are crazy friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and bright, and the food and drinks are pretty killer. my friend and i came for happy hour (3-5). this honestly might be the best happy hour menu i ve ever seen. i ordered fries and wings. 4 wings on a heap of coleslaw for only $5? yes please! the space is a little small, which means it can get loud. it s decently busy during happy hour. but it s all worth it. definitely a new spot to hit after work! parking: parking is a little weird. the mcdonald s parking lot is huge and empty, but it obviously says not to park through.

Q restaurant was amazing!! we went for lunch and enjoyed some bacon wrapped dates that were phenomenal, but the real showstopper was their wasabi crab deviled eggs. oh, my goodness, these will rock your socks off! i cannot wait to go back to try dishes from their dinner menu. im sure it will be incredible!

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and amazing friends. over the course of 2 1/2 hours we enjoy cocktails, appetizer and a dinner fit for a king! family style works great for us so we can all get to experience as many dishes as possible. what a treat. check them out.

If you want a perfect date, or to take your out of town relatives to an upscale seafood, oyster, and top-notch restaurant look no further than southpark seafood. all appetizers are cheap, table portions, and reasonably priced. i wish i would have got the clams, but i order them every other time. i can also speak on the steak. it is a fantastic cut of meat. ironically i typically punish myself with the brussle sprouts, but this was my favorite vegetable dish all year long. a must try! thank you again south park seafood p.s. multiple na beers available kid-friendliness: they were the sweetest to my daughter

This place has been around since 1892 for a reason. we had an old-school awesome lunch on a quiet monday with paul the bartender. he was perfect – guiding us through the menu, history, and neighborhood. we started with a half-dozen oysters that were so fresh and icy cold, followed by perfectly crispy and moist crab and shrimp cakes (meaty and not just breadcrumbs). the caesar and cup of clam chowder were good. and, then we had more oysters for dessert lol. next time, and there will be a next time, we ll have to try the famous key lime pie. if you get a chance, don t pass up jake s and walking around the pearl district!

Nestled in the commercial heart of airport way is a little unassuming gem, bistro 23. the food is always on point. i have never had one bad meal from the menu. this visit was the beat salad (add chicken) and a cup of their tomato basil bisque.
