My first time there the drinks were fire and the owner was amazing and spent a nice amount of time conversing and laughing with us. the environment was inviting and cozy. im definitely going back ; )

Excellent tavern that we once had great times in back in our college days.

I have enjoyed gr8 amounts from their menu selections and their portions are generous. you will be taking left overs. 1st pic is a boney box i took 2go. my babe n i ate in. she had 1/2 chicken n two sides. i had beef ribs dinner with sides. (2nd 3rd pics) their mac & cheeze is my favorite side than fries. use the fries to no up bbq sauce u kno. best ribs to my knowledge beside our own homemade bbq of da grill.

Riverfront grille has a fabulous salad bar at a great price! it is very fresh with lots of delicious options! the food was amazing too. it is right on the rock river so we enjoyed the view as we enjoyed our lunch! we will definitely be back!

Ive driven by brandons pub & grille many times on the way to other places (used to go to cool beanz at the top of 30th street all the time). a recent perusal of their page revealed some good looking photos of burgers and sandwiches. in a continual effort to get out more, i opted to stop by for lunch on this particular lazy saturday. the interior of brandons tells a story of a place around augustana college that has been around for a while, just not the entire time as brandons. the floors are made of that red ceramic 4 to 5-inch square tile that used to be far more common a few decades ago. all of the tables, both high top and standard, appear relatively new, as does the bar area itself. the overhead is covered in a white 2 foot square drop ceiling with recessed lighting fixtures dotted throughout. there are plenty of flat screen tvs playing a variety of different sporting events throughout the bar area with the volume from one of them playing quietly. its all very relaxing and was perfect for the saturday i was trying to have! though the burgers looked good in the photos id previously viewed, i opted for the traditional beef philly cheesesteak with fries. my food was out to me within 10-15 minutes of placing my order and i soon tucked in. the cheesesteak was one of the better ones ive had in the quad cities. the steak was sliced thin and well grilled, the onions and peppers were seasoned properly and sufficiently rendered while still having texture, and there wasnt an overabundance of cheese on the sandwich. the fries were also great – crinkle cuts that were sufficiently cooked to have a crunchy exterior and fluffy interior, plus well seasoned. all in all a great meal! this place has one of the same features that many illinois bars and restaurants share – the ubiquitous set of video slots. i cant really complain that much (theyre practically everywhere) but the four or five in brandons pub are right on display in the bar area with only a few stanchions separating them from the rest of the seating. it would be nice if there were a little more separation of the video slots from the rest of the establishment. on the whole, i really enjoyed the sandwich and fries i had at brandons. the ambiance is similarly great – the noise level was low, owing to both the drop ceiling and the low volume at which the tv volume was played. i can envision coming here for lunch again in the future. thanks, brandons! vegetarian options: there are salad options, as well as a veggie panini. dietary restrictions: you should consult with the server about your dietary needs. they can likely help you with your particular food needs. parking: there is abundant free parking in the lot surrounding the restaurant. kid-friendliness: during appropriate hours for children to be out and about, they would likely enjoy brandons. wheelchair accessibility: the entrance on the north side of the building is wheelchair accessible.

As someone who is originally from the south and cooks southern food well i ve become a skeptic about other southern dishes up here. however, they definitely did not disappoint!! the owner and dish creator tish was very welcoming of my opinions and waited to say grace with me before i took my first bite, she was very interested in my take of her food. i felt appreciated by her presence and loved every bit of the food!! i will definitely be back to try more!

I loved it! i had a great experience and loved the service!! me and my boyfriend were visiting from out of town and stopped at this cute little dinner for some drinks before the long drive home! the place was cleanly and fast parking: easily accessible

This was a cool little local spot. from their dirty cocktails to their dirty balls the food and drink were great! i would recommend to anyone who wants to come out and has a great sense of humor.

Peewee s was awesome! not only was the food delicious, (i had the shrimp po boy and 1 of my hubby s wings) but the owner and his family made us feel like we were old friends instead of first timers. highly recommend!! we definitely will be back!

Ate here after an event at the expo center and really glad i did. food was outstanding, service was quick, prices and portions are more than fair, and everything was clean. if you leave hungry, its your own fault. i will definitely be back if im in the neighborhood during business hours!

Was staying at a hotel nearby and decided to walk to soi for an early dinner. the miso soup and chicken pad thai were delicious! the proportions were great and everything came out hot and fresh. the place was pretty empty on a saturday afternoon, only two other tables were occupied. a couple people came in for takeaway. the female waitress was very friendly and attentive. i gave 3 stars for atmosphere because the place was dimly lit and pretty tired, but again i was there for an early dinner and this location is downtown. so probably the norm on weekends.

Lifelong resident of the quad cities we finally tried tried alfano s tonight. i was met by a pleasant voice on the phone and again in person picking up. the staff seemed to be working as a team to create the pizzas for each order. we tried the regular crust – one with sausage and pepperoni, and one with half cheese/half sausage. the pizza was still hot at our house 20 minutes later, and we found it to be very tasty and of great quality. see you again soon!

Great italian food choices. we came discussing getting a pizza or calzone as a family. we ended up 2 calzones and shrimp tortellini. we also added artison bruschetta with goat cheese as an appetizer. yummy! we will be back again & again & again….

Great fries. good hamburger with really good bun. just right for lunch size. fast. friendly cook. very friendly girl behind the register. boy could she multitask! my order was juggled and absolutely correct, given as soon as it was ready -nice and hot. very nice price for what i received. couldnt finish it.

This place is great. they only offer two main dishes and those change daily. the food is really good, and the cost for a full meal is a suggested $10. the proceeds go to run the place, and help people with food insecurity. so if you dont have the cash, you can pay less. or volunteer for free meals. its such a great service to the community. vegetarian options: there is always a vegetarian option.
