Fortunately, the concierge was able to work us without a for a meal at a barbecue table. the selection and price was good for a large city. the atmosphere was nice. the service really set it apart. i highly recommend the spicy wings as they were very crispy with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce.

The food at august is wonderful, dishes like the thinly sliced tofu soup are yummy and not easily available at other restaurants. the ginger scallion lobster it deliciously prepared, and comes with great soft flat noodles on the side. the pumpkin shaped dimsum with custard inside stood out from others. the scallops with clear noodles at the base were excellent. service is attentive. i photos the restaurant looks more upscale than real life, but that does not take away from the great cooking.

Legit taiwanese flavours. enjoyed the bento boxes and the taiwanese sausage we ordered. seating is limited, therefore it s better suited to take out than dine in. very affordable considering its location and being new york. definitely worth checking out if you re in the area and looking for non-fussy food!

Best chinese food youll ever eat. the pork ribs was very delicious and it had good amount of sauce with every bite and every piece. the seafood with noodles was very good too but the fried salted squid was my favorite. they offered large rice for all of us. the complementary hot tea was nice. overall we liked it and will definitely go again.

Best burger i ve had. the bun is super light and the bacon is so fatty and sweet. it s definitely is a hearty meal and put everyone into an almost immediate food coma. bologna sandwich was also good and a lighter options. salads were phenomenal

Amazing atmosphere! great lighting, cool decorations, and excellent music choice. gives off a great vibe of somewhere youd go during a contemplative night. was very empty going on a friday early (for nyc) night, so not for if youre trying to meet other patrons, but highly recommend in this context!

This place is exceptional. you will find incredible, singular, ambitious, extremely delicious dishes here that you cant get anywhere else (do not miss the hakka blossom chicken! out of this world!! wow), served in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. my husband and i ordered 2 main dishes, and 2 vegetable dishes, and we brought home enough leftover food to last us for days – every dish on the menu at this lovely restaurant can easily feed 6 people. next time, and there will absolutely be a next time, we want to go with a big group of friends – even though we had a ball eating here, just us 2, this kind of regal, inventive cuisine begs to be shared with other folks. if youre hosting people from out of town, especially visitors without regular access to authentic chinese food, hakka cuisine would be an ideal place to take them. every single item we ordered here tasted like heaven, and there are so many more menu dishes we cant wait to try. well be back! thank you hakka cuisine!

The burgers are so good! i love this place everything came out fast and tasted so good. our server was amazing too. we left our daughter s water bottle on accident and he chased us across the street and 2 blocks away to give it to us. top notch service. i wish i remembered his name but he was a thin guy with a beard (if you see this i am sorry i forgot your name!)and we sat in the street seating which had heaters. kid-friendliness: the street seating was super comfortable and had enough room for the kids to run around.

This place has a wide variety of food. reasonably priced. today, we tried pastelon de platano maduro, patina de cuerdo guisadas, ensalada de papa. everything was 100% from the presentation, taste, and climate of food. definitely will come back and try some other foods. flan was also tasty. open 24/7. this place does need very little improvement like anything that shows pricing of items or labeling of items. overall pretty good prices and very tasty.

Every dollar was worth coming here. i came for a comedy show originally with an intention to go to a restaurant beforehand, but i was super late, so i ended up eating here. i was so surprised that they had bruschetta and it was absolutely exquisite. the comedy show is great and the people around me were so kind and full of laughter!

12/15/23 met up with a friend that recommended this dominican restaurant because were were hungry . as you enter you smell and aromas of this amazing food. it does get busy and there may be a little wait to get food, but it s all worth it!!! genesis our waitress was excellent. she was very friendly, attentive and professional. the food freaking great!!!!!! must recommend and return.

Wahi burger was amazing quite surprised and highly recommend with some fries great tasting patty nothing was over done. food

My sister and i were looking for a dominican breakfast while visiting ny presbyterian hospital. saw la barca was nearby with good ratings and figured wed try it out. ordered mangu con los tres golpes and we were not disappointed. mangu was not dry as sometimes can be. coffee was on point, too. small neighborhood eatery with a counter and about 6-8 additional seats. everyone coming in knew each other and it made me smile to be a nyer.

I wanted to place with great ambience and great food. hows very please to see that i get both. drinks were great as well as well as theyre happy hour till seven p m.

Great neighborhood bistro in washington heights. staff is very professional and friendly, bartenders are on their a game, and the bar has a great selection, especially the tap list. menu has something for everyone and the food is excellent. i go to trivia hosted by uptown pub quiz on wednesdays whenever i can, but they have great events on other nights throughout the week that bring the most fun people in the neighborhood out.

Atmosphere: 5/5 the restaurant is full of traditional references and vibrant colors, the music is good and is not too loud, which is really good to enjoy our food and maybe talk for moments while eating. service: 5/5 service is amazing, our waitress was exceptional, really friendly, in a good mood and she was really active while serving others. they have a small bell, which is really nice instead of screaming around and, although i didnt see the kitchen, some moments when the curtains opened, i was able to see a bit and it seemed really clean and chefs were wearing appropriate clothes. entrance: 4/5 the door is quite difficult to use, while its easy for people to go in and out, its quite difficult if you have a baby stroller or use a wheelchair. food: 5/5 fries were really good, and you can choose between the fries and beans with rice, i ordered shrimp quesadilla, which had some guacamole with it. my chaperone/mother ordered an enchiladas quesadilla. and my sister enjoyed the fries! oh, and the champurrado was really good, and warmed the body. it was freezing outside!! wheelchair accessibility: door is quite difficult, someone who goes with wheelchair alone might have some complications getting in, however, im sure if help is asked, the staff will help them out asap.

After 15 years of ordering from hudson view, ive sworn off patronizing them, again. they botched two delivery orders, and, then, tonight, did didnt fill my delivery at all. instead, they called me to tell me that i said i had ordered pick up (i hadnt) told me they would deliver. they didnt and didnt bother to tell me they werent sending the food, leaving me waiting, hungry, until it was too late to order elsewhere. hudson view clearly has given up trying to serve customers well. when i called, the staff — who knows me well — wouldnt admit it did anything wrong, and couldnt have been more eager to close up shop and get off the phone than if a tornado was headed their way. its a pity; there arent a lot of decent places in the heights for a salad. but, for whatever reason, lack of staff, failure to keep up with technology, disinterest, i wont order from them anymore. i hope someone else can make a go of diner food in the area.

Visited with my husband for early dinner and had an appetizer of chicken bites, two different burgers with fries and a couple of beers i went ahead and tried something different – afraid i wasnt going to like it but still willing to give it a try – black beans and avocado burger: 10/10 my husband is a meat lover and he wanted to swap dishes best vegetarian burger i have ever had – loved it and would definitely go back to have that same dish again sizes were pretty good – we even regretted having had an appetizer the service was very good – cant remember the name of our server but he was very cool and we had everything right on time nothing special about the decoration or interior design of the place – but it is very clean and well kept – ideal for drinks and a good bite after work

The food and the service were amazing. the decor was not spectacular, but the food made up for it. i would also recommend the shrimp and lamb chop not pictured. a little pricey and parking is horrible, so add $35 to your bill! parking: horrible

Weve been semi-regulars and huge fans for more than a year, but i finally had to post a review when i saw the one-stars are you kidding? this is our go-to spot in the neighborhood for both delivery and dine-in. the food is great, the staff is so kind and friendly, and we always have the best experience. we appreciate a well-labeled menu too as people with dietary restrictions. everything is labeled for vegetarians, vegans, and those who are gluten-free. theres even vegan/gluten-free naan, and we are obsessed with the piazi. 100% recommend, tip well, support local restaurants! vegetarian options: were plant-based and there are tons of options you can confidently order veggie food here! dietary restrictions: menu is clearly labeled and the staff gets it!

If youre in the mood for something caribbean, both in food and culture this is the place. a loud, but not too loud, exciting atmosphere smiling faces, and plenty of flavor in the air. the music isnt so loud that you have to shout over people but it is definitely apparent. the food is priced well, cooked with expertise. reminds me of some of my grandmothers cooking, and takes that as a high compliment in full esteem. the drinks were also great, maybe too good. bring your family, listen to the music, sip your drink, and eat. a good time. parking: considering its location finding a parking will likely to be difficult. wheelchair accessibility: this restaurant has steps throughout it so keep that in mind if you need to use a wheelchair.
