We were just in the neighbourhood and saw this restaurant and we gave it a try. surprised at how affordable the prices were. we ordered bahn mi and ten ingredients fried rice (which is a delicious, not too salty shrimp fried rice). bahn mi was also good. service was ok. could use a bit more smile. but they weren t rude at all and the food came really quickly. other patrons weren t that loud and the place wasn t that dirty considering in chinatown. would come back and try the pho.

My familys favorite vietnamese spot, and i completely agree with them. additionally, its in a great location. the pho is delicious, and the spring roll is totally crispy. i was surprised by the generous portion of soup served in a large bowl lol, but overall experience and the service were good.

This is one of my favorite comfort spots in nyc. i visited their former location for nearly 2 decades with friends, family, and loved ones and always had a good time. ill continue that tradition here. with that said, it does get busy here. there is a takeout station in the front and dining inside the building. they have 2-3 menus and also have pictures of their dishes on the walls to make ordering easier. you can use a card or cash, i just prefer cash because its faster when the restaurant is packed.

The absolutely best roast pork bun i have ever eaten. i ordered two and left, they were so delicious, i went back for two more. there is usually a long line, but it goes very quickly. you can order at the cashier or there are two computer screens inside to order from, very easy. there is no parking in front, very difficult to park. i highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. i will definitely go back again.

Blown away. really, truly, this place was exceptional in every way. we got there as they were opening and were amazed to see just how quickly the tables filled up shortly after. quick service, generous portions, and unbelievable food. the braised pork belly with preserves vegetables was exactly what we needed on a chilly day around the holidays. the crab and pork soup dumplings were rich in a way that i cant describe.. savory, salty, rich, just amazing. we shared the shanghai rice and jellyfish as well. cant recommend them highly enough.

I came with my boyfriend for our 7 year anniversary it was a great experience for our first time coming. let me tell you the delivery of the steak was very good and the sauce for the lobster raviolis was phenomenal. the waiters were attentive, the service was great they put on a little show and the maitre d asked if we liked everything and he gave us two mini wine glasses. it was great and if you re staying at the hotel you get a discount at the restaurant.

We treated our friends who never have had real dry age steak before here, firstly because keens was fully booked for the week they were in town. we went to the wolfgang s in somerville nj multiple times (for wedding anniversaries and random lunch), and that one has been mediocre (hostess was sometimes rude). but it turned out to be a great experience at this location!!! both my friends were amazed by how good the steak was! the side orders were also very impressive. i love how the creamed spinach was not salty at all and was not cream-based (as it should not be). the french fries, i have to say, when my friend ordered it, i was like, why. then, look at them, so crispy but also soft inside. such a great compliment to the dry age steak and all the veggies. four of us pretty much finished everything, and we were so full. definitely good portion for the price paid. towards the end, their fire alarm was wrongly set off. when the fire trucks arrived, my friend was so excited and took so many photos with the fireman. their location is one of the most convenient, not too far away from keens or penn station. when we were waiting for my husband to arrive to be seated, they served us freshly made potato chips on house at the waiting area. nice people. and our waiter was very funny. he always had jokes on what we asked him about the menu. when the fire alarm set off, he said: drinks on me next time! lol. strongly recommend this wolfgang s.

We decided to try mastros in nyc due to our success with them in the los angeles area. they didnt disappoint again. food was excellent and the service was awesome. our server, george, took care of us and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. the atmosphere was lively and it was a good crowed present. the food was great from the bread (small charge) to the appetizer to the main entree and then to the highly anticipated butter cake dessert! i recommend mastros to all who enjoy fine dinning. i also recommend to try mastros at other locations in the us, rather it be a their steakhouse or ocean club, they will be delectable and pleasurable!

We recently dined at uncle jack steakhouse and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food. the poterhouse steak and lamp chop were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, exactly how a steak should be. the sides were also delicious, complementing the main course perfectly. however, i must admit that the service was a bit below par. overall, despite the slight hiccup in service, the exceptional quality of the food at uncle jack steakhouse makes it a dining destination worth visiting. with a little improvement in service efficiency, it could easily become a top-notch establishment.

Wow! if in new york then this restaurant is a must. firstly the food is amazing and they give a set menu for $30 and you wont be disappointed. we did spend a lot more but we did have good wine and cocktails. the steak was the best i have ever had ( and i tried a lot) perfectly cooked and seasoned. i had the asparagus soup which i had never had before and it was delicious. the breads assorted were amazing too. i had steak of course for mains then the new york cheesecake also very good. the service was excellent we were seated in a corner which we loved as we could see everything. we felt truly spoiled and blessed with the service we had. the place itself is wow, firstly you walk past the window fridges with all the meats and are met with a very pleasant team to take you to your seat, strongly advise to book first as you would hate to not go as they are very busy. you pass the cocktail lounge to then be seated. the view to see all in the kitchen is amazing. the decor is beautiful, even the toilets with the special touch of cloths to dry your hands on. as i said a must go to , you will not be disappointed.

Read below for the full review. follow me for more honest and detailed reviews. click or tap my profile picture and then click or tap follow. restaurant: frankie and johnnies 320 w 46th st. new york, ny 10036 main question: is the food worth the price? answer: yes, but be prepared to spend $120 a person without alcohol. wait time: no wait for us. we were seated immediately. food: amazing. thats the best i can put it. the steamed vegetables were delightful. the inside of the baked potato was cooked perfectly. the outside of it was crispy and the perfect temperature. the calamari was some of the best calamari ive ever had. it is definitely in the top three from trying calamari all around the world. the steak was delicious however it did come out a little burnt. the lamb chops while also had burn on them were tender and moist and absolutely wonderful. the mashed potatoes or fantastic and the bread was just wow. i personally didnt care for the lemon sorbet and while it was beautiful looking, the fact that it came in a lemon allowed you to get the rhyme taste inside the sorbet which, to me, ruined the taste. that is not enough to lower the stars. atmosphere: i enjoyed the atmosphere. i love the pictures on the wall and how they had everything arranged. i love the tables and the glasses and the silverware that were used. i enjoyed the dinner. cleanliness: from the kitchen to the bathroom to the floors to the table and chairs and utensils and plates were spotless. i looked at everything, in detail. service: the service was impeccable. they were on top of everything. there were two servers for us and they handled everything perfectly. they came over and checked on us and made sure that everything was going well. they listened to any criticisms. they were absolutely wonderful and amazing. this is the epitome of what other restaurants should strive for when they have servers serving their guests. price: it was $380.09 for three of us to eat there and we dont drink alcohol. recommended: if you dont mind putting out some money to eat, this is a definite place to try. we really loved this frankie and johnnies. we have not been to the other two.

My husband and i were celebrating our anniversary, the entire experience was phenomenal! the lit tree outside the window we were seated at really made for an incredible view! the food was delicious (i had the salomon and my husband had filet) complimentary anniversary dessert was a very sweet surprise! they also went the extra mile and took our photo together and…. printed it for us as a special keepsake! no charge. truly amazing restaurant with very thoughtful management!!

Wonderful place to have a celebration of anything. they have great steaks, good bar and weekly live music. you must try their hot chocolate lava cake. i highly recommend them.

Absolutely the best. prices are fairly reasonable for a fine dining experience. the portion sizes were huge, and the service was impeccable. the locals frequent the establishment often. went there two days in a row, will be back next time were in nyc.

We went on a saturday without a reservation and stood in line, but it wasnt a big deal because we felt like we were being taken care of! we were seated at the bar and were promised that we would be moved as soon as something became available. but that was no longer necessary: i have rarely sat so well at a high table. the bartender was very friendly and gave us good recommendations! we noticed that the boss was very present, which may have been because we were sitting at the bar. the food was great!!! likewise for drinks, the wait was worth it! we would come back anytime! thanks for a yummy evening! great stuff! thank you so much!!

Great food, wonderful people and always a good experience. denis and his staff including oscar are excellent hosts. this a great restaurant to become a regular in. all the best cheers vegetarian options: many vegetable dishes.

We came here for a birthday and it was absolutely exquisite! we got the lobster bisque and crab cake for appetizer. both were decadent. for the main course, we got the empire steak and rib eye. the perfect portion for 4 people. we also got mashed potatoes, a baked potato, and sauteed spinach. would 100% recommend! :)

Went for my birthday, they have coat check and we came early ahead of our reservations and were unable to be seated early but grabbed a drink at the bar. food wise the sides can be split and for two people i would recommend doing that. we got the whipped potatoes and asparagus both were great. caesar salad as appetizer and new york strip steak, which was perfectly cooked. great atmosphere and drinks as well. wish i had room for dessert. food: 5/5 atmosphere: 5/5 service: 5/5
