The food was great…the service was very friendly. i highly recommend visiting this little treasure in petersburg. the eggplant parmigiana was delicious! kid-friendliness: there was a kids menu. also, the decor in the environment is intriguing.

I wanted some fish so looked up places and this came up with good reviews so i decided to give them a try. i passed by it the first time because you can t tell from the outside really that s it s a restaurant. i was greeted when i walked in and the ladies in there were really friendly and helpful with ordering since it was my first time. i ended up getting the turkey wings with cabbage and mac & cheese and i was not disappointed!! they were so good and earned them a loyal customer!

Stumbled across this location when on a short trip to richmond area. beautiful old building with a lot of character and comfortable setting. my wife and i both got salad for dinner. fresh ingredients, nice balance of flavors and taste. highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

My best meal of the year two years running has been at oyster society! i am continually blown away by their flavors, vibe and service. the food is so creative while also remaining delicious and approachable. this time we started with raw oysters (their mignonette is unmatched). and then had a little smoked oyster dim sum plate which was so surprising and unique. the cocktails are always impressive but the seize the verde was a show stopper. tequila based with a salsa verde oil as the star. i had the best pork chop of my entire life. this was pork chop on another level. i am unhinged in my enthusiasm about it . my partner had one of their always flawless duck dishes. their dessert is delicious always good. but the savory menus and cocktails are the reason to go back again and again. this is a such a unique gem in the local dining scene and i will never stop raving about it!

This was my 1st time ordering & i ordered ribs, collards and cabbage. then the 2nd plate was hamburger on mashed potatoes and gravy with mac and cheese. both came with cornbread! everything was amazing! the ladies working there were so nice! i also got the strawberry pound cake .. so good!! would recommend and do plan to return to try other menu options!

Food was perfect, good atmosphere to sit and talk without it being too loud. waitstaff was real attentive and made sure our table and others were taken care of. didnt get drinks this time so cant comment on those but overall a good option downtown.

We were in town for rugged maniac at virginia motorsports raceway down the street about 6 miles. after the race we were starving and we re headed to a burger joint to try out, but after getting there being immediately turned off, we drove down the street and saw this gem on the side of the road and decided to pull in. hands-down, some of the best mexican food we ve ever had! the portions were amazing, and the prices were great. we had a wonderful conversation with the very friendly manager, who ended up teaching us some spanish while waiting for our food – the other staff, including the young men were extremely helpful and friendly. the restaurant was very clean, and very decorative, you can tell they spent some good money on its appearance. just an all-around excellent experience and excellent food, recommend highly if you live in the area or visiting for a race to stop by here and get some delicious food!

Delicious orange crush with fresh orange juice, the jalapeno ranch wings were so good and the service was outstanding. they were out of blue moon but our server recommended something i liked a lot. very fun spot to eat and drink. we will be back.

One of the best lunches ive had in awhile…service was awesome, restaurant waa clean, food was fresh, drink was cold and cheesecake hit the spot…all while listening to old motown tunes with a few 90s hip hop songs to take ya down memory lane! relaxing!

Great place for breakfast! we had a relatively big party of people, and the accommodations were great! had the corned beef hash with eggs and biscuit! amazing take on a classic breakfast dish! servers were amazing and loved that they provided input of their favorite food recommendations! definitely a must go if youre in town!

Family owned, and wonderful staff with phenomenal food make this place a regular stop for us. i usually get the pork chop as its perfectly portioned snd always tender, and i enjoy their pastas, but i like sauce so i always ask for extra with just about anything, and they always cater to my little requests, so its much appreciated. their pizzas are also good. used to get their special and took it to my job all the time for my crew when i worked in the area. parking: multiple lots, and it does fill up quickly at certain times. kid-friendliness: family environment.

The sushi was divine! the old towne crunch roll was phenomenal, as were the bagel roll & philly roll. lovely presentation as well. husband got the clobster sandwich & fries & said it was awesome. we decided to get the gator bites on a whim & i am so glad we did, they were delicious! i was expecting them to be chewier, but they were tender & the breading was perfect, plus that remoulade was out of this world. our server alex a was excellent. he was attentive without hovering & took very good care of us. this is such a cool building as well, & a great atmosphere for a rainy day lunch. :)

Shared a delicious meal here yesterday with my friends john and mila-jane who were visiting from hampton roads. to be honest, when john picked saucys for the restaurant choice, i almost suggested he choose another place based on past experiences with takeout orders my boss has gotten from saucys (my co-workers and i just didnt share his love of their food). well, im glad i gave saucys another chance. one of the big differences for me is that i finally got to have their fries hot and crispy from the fryer. if i hadnt ordered the platter, i wouldve eaten them all first. i also sampled my friends potato salad and mashed sweet potato sides and they tasted a lot like my homemade versions. the other surprise was my side of kale and black beans. i was expecting something salty and/or vinegary, not the somewhat sweet flavor from the onions in this dish. everything else on my platter was yummy and perfectly cooked too. i chose the beef brisket for my slider since pork and chicken were covered by the sausage, rib and drumstick. but even now, i cannot pick a favorite; my mouth is watering for them all! now, if youre thinking about giving saucys a try, bear in mind that the entrees do not include sides unless stated in the description. my friends slider trios plus 1 side cost about the same as my platter which had the 2 sides. plus, i had enough left over for my dinner. (to quote my jr high algebra teacher, a word to the wise is sufficient.)

If youre looking for authentic italian food then look no further than the historic part of petersburg. marias old town 21 is simply perfect for any time of day. from the patio to the front door is charming and then when you enter, you will find a bar that will equal or better any in nyc or dc. walk further in and you will feel like you have just walked in to an italian pizza. the food is wonderful, and the staff and owners are lovely. i have been back twice now and the hardest thing is deciding what to eat. the decor is second to none and the ambiance is perfect for any occasion. whether you are eating alone or a large party, they are able to accommodate you. parking is on the street, or there is parking behind or a close by parking lot. do not hesitate to go here, you will not be disappointed. this is now one of my go to restaurants.

My first time going to this restaurant. the vibe of the restaurant was amazing they was switching out dj s that was very interesting to me because the music was amazing the whole time. my waiter paid attention to detail and was letting us know the status of our food and timeframes. i like how they was letting my smoker friends use the patio it was cold outside lol. but that a very great option for people who has to have a cigarette after a meal lol. i notice this location had some celebrities in the building. dj foot and shawn breezy was casually eating lol as if i wasn t going to ask for a picture. that alone is 5 stars. okay when the food came out i had wings and 2 drinks one was a margarita and the next was a lemon drop the prices are affordable and the taste of food is a 9 out of 10. no real complaints. lastly security walked us to the parking area to our vehicle that s a flex with security and how they want to make sure we are safe! i am very impress with soshel keep up the great work!
