I had an outstanding dining experience at outback steakhouse, largely thanks to our server, michael. from the moment we were seated, michael was the epitome of professionalism and warmth. he greeted us with a genuine smile and promptly took our drink orders, offering suggestions tailored to our preferences. throughout the meal, michael was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were always full and checking in to see if we needed anything else. he demonstrated extensive knowledge of the menu, confidently answering our questions and recommending dishes based on our tastes. his suggestion of the special steak of the day was spot-on, perfectly cooked and seasoned to our liking. what set michael apart was his ability to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. he brought extra napkins and sauces when he noticed we were getting hands-on with our meal. his timing was impeccable, always appearing at just the right moment. moreover, michaels friendly demeanor and engaging conversation added a personal touch to our dining experience, making us feel truly valued as customers. he shared interesting facts about the restaurants history and the preparation of our dishes, enriching our meal beyond just the taste. he recommended the mule so we both ordered one. to top it off, michaels efficiency in processing our payment, giving us boxes and even a bag and ensuring we were satisfied with everything before we left left a lasting impression. its rare to find a server who combines professionalism, knowledge, and genuine hospitality as seamlessly as michael did. i cant recommend dining at outback steakhouse enough, especially if you have the good fortune of being served by michael. his exceptional service undoubtedly enhances the already excellent food and ambiance of the restaurant.

This was an amazing experience from start to finish! austin, our server, never let a cup go dry nor a plate empty. he was informative and kind and made our experience top tier. the food was cooked to perfection. there is something for everyones taste and preferences here. the cooks who carry/carved the meats, did so with professionalism, joy and enthusiasm, that never left you without a smile nor without a happy full plate. the show kitchen, ornate chandeliers and the clean and upscale atmosphere added class and showmanship to an already astounding performance made by both front and back of house staff. the fine touches, like for my sons birthday dessert, were the perfect ending to a satisfying and delicious meal. it was worth every penny and the 60 mile drive we made. we will be back!

Food was delicious and wine was great too as always. service was great too. the bone in strip steak and filet mignon were delicious. lobster mashed potatoes, oyster rockefeller and chocolate tort were all delicious. we chose one of the valentines day special menus. the special butters for the bread were so good and the coffee. vegetarian options: vegge menu offered parking: shopping center area so lots of spaces.

Visited at lunch (fridays only) for the pork chop special at $19. a super thick chop (equivalent of 3 regular thick chops), mashed potatoes and cinnamon applesauce. i ordered the pecan smoked salmon appetizer which was fantastic. the portion was large enough that i took almost all of pork chop special home for 3 additional meals. you need reservations and likely should not wait until the day of. parking is around the building. my server was exceptional. the tempranillo was okay, not great, and too much ($14) for the quality.

It was extremely busy but the staff still did a good job. the food was good and the price was reasonable for the portion sizes. kid-friendliness: there is a kids menu and crayons.

It was our 1st time here. it might not have fancy appeal but it has one of the best services i ever experienced not only in richmond but in whole virginia. our water was so attentive and knowledgeable. the rest of the stuff was as attentive. we ordered a steak appetizer, it was really good. i ordered lobster tale and potato cake, it was cooked well. the only issue i had is side vegetables- broccoli was mushy, carrots were dried and green bean ends were dry out as well. my husband order rack of lamb and baked potato. lamb comes covered with cherires, it looked wonderful. poor baked potato was squeezed on the same little plate as the side of the vegetable.i wish the side salad would be bigger. the mushrooms were tasty and the desserts were delicious. my husband ordered bread pudding and i ordered blood orange sorbet which they make in house. dietary restrictions: gluten free and dairy free parking: free parking

Honestly. the best food, service, and overall experience i ve had in virginia restaurants. i marked on the reservation it was a special occasion and 48 hours before, the sweetest lady calls to try and personalize the menu for your table. i believe she is the owners mother, or some relation but she was so cheerful and a great lady to chat with. i mentioned my husband and i recently got married and he is active army and wanted to celebrate our one month of marriage and our accomplishments in 2023. we were greeted by alex and his friendly front staff who had cheerful smiles and such positive attitudes despite being a busy saturday night. we were placed in a booth , where we were then greeted by tim. if you have a chance to request him, his knowledge of the menu and history of bookbinders is outstanding. my husband & i could have talked to him for hours. he answered all of our questions about the menu, cocktails and specific wines and managed to check on us multiple times throughout the night. alex (i believe is the restaurant mgr) gifted my husband a challenge coin that the owner john gives to service members. this was just icing on the cake to an already fantastic night. i can t recommend this place enough. if i could give more than 5 stars i would. i can t wait to come back and celebrate many more occasions with this fantastic establishment. thank you bookbinders!

I usually go here every wednesday. love the food and enjoy some of the waiters and waitresses. wish you would bring back the footlong hot dog as a special or permanently. thank you, zack, for your wonderful service and personality.

Absolutely lovely date night place. you get your moneys worth here! my date and i both got sushi, i ended up splurging for the rockfish, and we shared the fresh-baked bread and the lava cake for dessert. the server was absolutely phenomenal and it was her first day as a server in general! got a seat on the first floor right next to the fireplace. doesnt feel too crowded, not too casual – perfect for a semi-fancy anniversary dinner. 10/10.

We went for a party of 11 and the restaurant was prepared for our gathering (there was a reservation made well in advance). the food was absolutely worth the price and the limited menu gives chefs the ability to focus on quality ingredients and easily changing the menu. the staff were excellent and helpful in every way. the kitchen definitely did a great job keeping up with 11 orders, my dairy restriction, and a friends nut allergy. highly recommend this place if youre looking for something different and high quality. vegetarian options: the bacon was able to be removed from the dish because it wasnt cooked in but added as a crumble. dietary restrictions: i explained that i needed no dairy and i didnt have to worry about anything after that, the chef took care to fix everything with that in mind. that shows they care about the customers experience and i appreciate that.

A surprising good selection of seafood for an alpine inspired restaurant. i really enjoyed my ribeye steak which had a nice char and good side of lightly creamed vegetables. my wife scallops were good, but not exceptional. the mushroom tart was very good and the flat bread was served hot and crisp, with a flavorful raclette cheese. service was nice and attentive. we would like to come back to try the fondue.

I recently dined at level restaurant & bar, and it exceeded all my expectations. this establishment truly stands out with its remarkable blend of delectable cuisine, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance. visiting during lunchtime, we ordered shrimp tempura rolls, philly rolls, singapore noodles with chicken, and the lunch salmon hibachi bento box, which was accompanied by a flavorful miso soup and a refreshing salad with ginger dressing. surprisingly, even items i typically overlook, such as the soup and salad, proved to be exceptional. our waitress was incredibly hospitable and attentive throughout the meal. moreover, the asian red sangria served here was simply divine. despite any initial reservations one might have based on the exterior appearance, the interior of the restaurant is stunning, particularly the dynamic display of colorful lights at the bar. i wholeheartedly give level restaurant & bar a perfect score of 10 and enthusiastically recommend it. without a doubt, this establishment has earned its place as my new favorite spot for sushi in richmond, va.

Visited tay ho for lunch and was impressed with the food quality and service. we started our meal with the appetizer sampler, the items were all delicious and the sauces that accompanied the sampler were a great addition to the appetizers. for our main course we d had short ribs and the clay pot pork. both were delicious and more than enough food for each of us. service was fast, our food arrived quickly, was visually appealing, and hot. give tay ho a shot if you re in the area, you will not be disappointed.

Awesome food. we had the texan and shrimp fajitas. everything tasted great, even the refried beans which can sometimes taste a little sour, not here.

We had a very nice dinner here. the shrimp and scallop with the orange sticky rice was perfect. the hardshell pasta dish was lovely. seafood cooked perfectly. service was friendly and pleasant. you can park across the street in the parking garage and they will stamp it for you. also had the chocolate torte. delicious!

City beach is always a great spot to catch any kind of game, good food, and good drinks. the service is always great from all the staff, and it is very cozy there with games in the back room & a couch area in the middle as well. just have to throw this out there: my group went for college football games, but we were equally entertained with rugby & soccer matches as well. this is one of my favorite spots in rva

I have had a great time seeing concerts here. it sounds good and the drinks are shockingly cheap compared to dc prices. it does get uncomfortably crowded which moving around the venue nearly impossible at times.

Best steak in richmond! ashley really knows how to treat his guests to a fine meal! i had the filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. everything was cooked to perfection. the music really set the mood and helped to wash the stress of the day away. there is a full bar here and great company. if you just need to get out for a couple hours, drop in and say hello.

What a wonderful meal! firebirds in midlothian is my go-to luncheon place. the food, the atmosphere, and the service are always magnificent. today, we got got service from ben. he had a great attitude. despite the restaurant being pretty full, the drinks, appetizers, and the entrees arrived at the table hot and timely. prices are reasonable.

From the moment my husband and i walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by the most friendly hostess, sarah, who asked for our preferred type of table. she just seemed genuinely delighted to have us at the restaurant. our server regan was personable, well informed and delightful right from the start. we did have one menu question that she couldn t answer, and without hesitation, she made sure she found out before we ordered. emily served our entrees with a smile and took the time to make sure we had everything we needed to make our meal complete. where in the world does anyone get fantastic service anymore? y all, it s rare, and oh-so-appreciated. we ll be coming back. dietary restrictions: i m especially sensitive to msg, and our server took the time to find out that it was not included in my meal.

I gave this location 5 stars. not because of the food. even though everything was cooked the way i asked but the great customer service. i sat at the bar and had the pleasure of meeting derek. he has the best personality i have witness in a long time. when you sit down to eat, shop, or do anything that allows you to interact with others you want someone who is passionate about what they do. i even watched him as he was training his co-worker he was very patient, caring, and just all around friendly. he was moving from the bar to the tables, never missing a beat. i didnt have to wait for him to return to ask for anything before i could turn my head he was there asking do you need anything. great customer service derek.

One server was running around handling all of the tables and doing a great job. i am sure they were saving the rest of the staff for the expected crush later, but we still got perfect service and perfect food.

Ok, so the reason i come is the spicy mini dumpling appetizer, but i stay for the amazing selection of sushi rolls! i have never had anything bad here. the service is attentive but not overbearing. it is a busy place so the atmosphere is a bit loud. one of my fave spots for consistently good food and service. definitely make reservations on weekends!

Absolutely loved it there. took my husband there for his birthday. the staff was very professional and polite. our server was very nice, polite, and very professional. we loved our food, i had the blt salad with a side of shrimp and my husband had the steak and shrimp with a loaded bake potato. everything was great, i would go back

We had a wonderful experience at sakura last night. we usually go to a different spot in short pump but they had a wait so sakura fit us in for a last minute reservation for 7 people. we had a much better experience there!! the food was delicious, our kids loved the show, and it felt calm in there. most notably, our server troy was the best i ve had in a long time. so attentive and helpful. our son had a health issue and he was incredibly kind and caring about it. in todays world there aren t many troys! we will definitely be going back!

This place was professional, fun, and friendly from the top down. we made a reservation for 10 people including two toddlers. from the moment you sit down you are greeted and asked for drinks, which came out promptly. from there, you immediately get soup, then salad, and if youre ready to order, your chef will be out in 10 minutes or less. they were so nice to our kids and they were mesmerized by the cooking, and the food tasted incredible. from the moment we sat down until the moment we left, they got 10 people fed in about an hour and 15 minutes. we loved everything about our experience and would recommend it to anyone. kid-friendliness: very welcoming for kids, and the kids loved watching them cook the food. lots of interactions from the chef to kids, but of course this could vary with the chef.

My husband and i always have an amazing experience at this restaurant! we went for brunch and had the most amazing meal and service! we cannot wait to come back and try even more.

They have the best cheesesteak in richmond. this spot is consistently excellent. great service, quick turnaround. their gyros are good too. huge portions, ample seating.
