Brick-walled institution in the heart of williamsburg, brooklyn serving up spectacular steak and seafood. incredible old world ambience and can t say enough of their impeccable service. overall just an incredible spot to dine in. st. anselm is most famously known for their signature angus butcher s steak so if it s your first visit, this is the absolute must on the menu.

If you re looking for the most amazing culinary adventure of your life, and you are seafood lover, please indulge yourself in this restaurant! do yourself a favor and get any and all of the drinks but the watermelon sugar high is especially tasty. all the apps are crazy, but the tuna crudo, and the ceviche are extra special. you have to get a lobster of course, but you are full. if you don t get the lobster mac & cheese, it s literally so good you won t want to share!

My husband was here in 90s when it still possible to get a table and didnt have to make a reservation ahead for month. the steakhouses were 138 years old now and surprisingly this is my first time here. somehow my husband was able to get a reservation and we had our anniversary dinner at the restaurant. we were a bit early, so we just hung out at the bar first. then when our table is ready the call us. we share everything so we had a piece of bacon and one crab cake. steak for two and side of mushroom. end with apple strudel and mango sorbet. steak cooked just right, and everything is perfect for the taste of food even no fancy food garnish. old style of food and service was great. we got a table next to the window and the coincident was the private bank across the street were the place we had pre-wedding pictures. mostly, im not so impress when i go to touristy places in new york but only few places are amazing including peter luger. most important thing you need to carry to this restaurant is cash! or you can pay by debit card.

The vegan chop cheese was a 10/10! same with the vegan philly cheese steak that i previously ordered on grubhub. i will definitely be back.

Great hh option in bk! $1 oysters, small but tasty. drinks also strong and affordable option to get a nice snack and drink in. the atmosphere/vibe is great too.. there is a back patio and even seating out front. came in as a walk-in right around 645pm to squeeze in hh and got seating right at the bar.

Amazing experience! my friend and i came to celebrate her birthday. right away, we were taken care of. our server damian was very attentive. the food was so good! for appetizers, we had the grilled bacon and the fried calamari. it was amazing! for our entree, we had the 20 oz rib eye and the full rack of lamb chops. great portions!

Now this place is a nyc must go to if your looking for dominican food and bachata playing in the calmly throughout the dining area – i can tell this spot is lit late night- but yes i really enjoyed every about this place i ordered and chicken chimi and fries with a latin cherry drink. don t forget the mayoketchup mixture too

Fun 80s vibe and classic movie themed bar with the option of board games to play. we played a game called truth or liar which was really fun! the doorman was cool and friendly. bartender was interesting, my friend asked for a corona and instead he handed her a modelo unwarranted, and said it s the same thing lol. we had the dino chicken nuggets which brought me back to my childhood, as well as a corn dog. very affordable and a fun place to be with friends!

I recently visited nowon bushwick and had a great experience! the food is korean-inspired, with delicious burgers and pizzas. the drinks were really refreshing and tasty. the pizza takes some time to cook, but its worth the wait. the staff are very friendly and the place has a hipster vibe with some cool art and decor. the burgers were juicy and thick, and the pizza was thin and crispy. it can get busy so it might be a good idea to make reservations. highly recommend!

My partner and i have very high standards for food, especially iranian food. this place blew our minds. every single dish we tried was amazing. they knew how to combine flavors, and create familiar taste profiles with new ingredients. everything was obviously very fresh. even the fried onions felt like they were fried the same day! it was so nice that they had hot bread. the cocktails were also very good! especially doogh and gin! our server was super nice and helpful. we had an amazing night. the only thing that wasnt perfect was the noise. given how crowded the place is, i think itd be nicer if they had the music volume lower.

Nice and spacious place with great food and service. fun space in the back of the restaurant with picnic style tables and lanterns. the fresh shrimp spring rolls were plentiful and the sauce it comes with is great. khao soi was hearty and flavorful. and the mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal. food presentation was also very nice. highly recommend.

I was really hungry for steak and this gem was recommended. so i stopped by to check it out, the bone in ribeye was delicious along with the mash potatoes i also had a classic margarita for my drink and a lava cake for desert. the food was really delicious i ll be back here again.

Luxury and high class food. recommended cocktails and wines. there is also a room with an open roof where you can order hookah, you wont find it anywhere else.

Gallery cafe is a good place to visit. it offers fresh and yummy food , provides you with a warm atmosphere, brings you joy of your stay, and finally, every night this place offers karaoke . karaoke starts at 9:00pm on week days and 10:00pm on weekend. the waitresses are very nice and thanks for their patience. we had birthday party at gallery cafe few days ago and came there with the kids. after dinner time the kids got very excited and had some run around the place and they were kind of noisy. the staff was very understandable and let them play without giving any comments. i recommend it 100% kid-friendliness: kids can pick the song for karaoke and sing it there. we picked baby shark song few times. kids love it!!!

My husband and i stumbled upon this place after our reservations were cancelled somewhere else so glad because it was amazing!! truly one of the best restaurants i ve ever been to. the staff were incredible and so friendly, the drinks were delicious, and the food was top notch. i usually ask for extra sauce for my steak but this didn t need. everything was so flavorful and appetizing. if you re looking for somewhere local to go, i highly recommend yakar

Food was amazing and fresh! service was great, waiter smelled amazing. we ordered soo much amazing food and got a 25% discount. i highly recommend the muscle fettuccine pasta (forgot the actual name). their steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty, they even had some horseradish. the oysters were fresh and sweet. the lobster cooked in the risotto was great. they had this potato mushroom tower thing that you shouldn t miss out on, another highlight of the dishes! they have a great bowl of french onion soup, the cheese is very funky and adds a great flavor to the soup! dont forget about desert!!! the apple strudel was to kill for! highly recommend this place.

Perfect hibachi experience. our friend the chef was awesome. gyozas were good, highly recommend. the host/manager was really nice to us, kept checking in to make sure we were good. i think they lost money on me on the sake. would have liked more veggies in the fried rice and more acidity, but thats just me.

Delicious food, great presentation, and excellent service! we had an early family dinner at chateau de capitane in march 2024. it was sat but the music would start much later so there was no noise and we could talk. almost all food we ordered was exceptionally delicious, from appetizers to desserts. the service was very attentive and we also got good suggestions helping to avoid ordering too much :) we highly recommend chateau de capitane for excellent delicious food and well certainly be back! appetizers trio tartare – awesome! it had tuna, salmon, and yellowtail tartare and each had its own distinct taste. cant really say which one was better as they were all good but different. sesame tuna – perfect! tuna was tender and flavorful, melting in the mouth. duck salad – this one could be better as the duck was dry and scarce. arugula goat cheese salad – delicious! we were debating whether to order this salad as we make it at home, but we didnt regret. it had a perfect combo of ingredients + some sauce or smth making it a harmony. kutaby with herbs – fresh, warm, flavorful. belyash with meat – this eastern russia deep fried meat patty was about 1.5x of the standard size. it had perfectly fried dough (not burned) and plenty of juicy medium cooked meat inside. i tired belyashi in restaurants in russia and made at home, but this one surpassed them all. just this single belyash already makes it worth coming back to chateau de capitane :) soups uha with salmon – it was good, fresh, and clear. plenty of salmon. it was tasty but somewhat standard. the taste could be made more colorful with some extra spices and maybe lemon. dushpora – fresh and tasty, with cute mini-dumplings. we all tried and liked it. solaynka – this one was unfortunately a miss. tasteless and over salted. mains duck with dried fruits – simply amazing! if you like duck – this a must have! the portion was very generous and had la parts of duck – legs, wings, and breast. it was super juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. the dry fruits were of a good variety and matched the duck. chilean sea bass with creamy polenta – soft, flakey, delicious! it wasnt not too fatty as a sea bass could be. polenta was a great match as well as a mushroom sauce served on the side. grilled branzino – it was served nicely peeled off the bones and had great flavor and texture, yet was not fishy. stuffed jumbo shrimps – these were very good according to the people who ate them.

Place is decorated beautifully! valet parking is available for $10 in front of the restaurant. there is a free coat check when you check in and purse stools are available at the tables. our waiter was very nice and gave good recommendations. menu is a bit on the pricey side. sides are small, seems like it s just good enough for one person. everything tastes good. lobster rolls definitely a hit. overall i had a good time and wouldn t mind returning again. parking: valet parking for $10

Good late night spot, definitely can share most items! the food is on the more oily side as it s fried. i recommend the rice crispy chicken. the garlic mayo sauce is great. usually deliver or pickup, but the few times i have sat the service was good and the staff were kind and helpful.
